Cyber Chaos at the Border: Navigating Competing and Conflicting International Cybercrime Laws

Join us for “Cyber Chaos at the Border: Navigating Competing and Conflicting International Cybercrime Laws,” a two-hour roundtable event examining the legal challenges at the intersection of cybercrime and international law.

Attendees will learn how competing global regulatory frameworks—including U.S., EU, and Eastern approaches—address cross-border cyber operations, examine evolving doctrines of sovereignty and use of force in cyberspace, and assess emerging enforcement mechanisms involving states and private actors. Participants will leave with a foundational understanding of attribution challenges, state responsibility, and viable pathways toward multilateral governance in an increasingly interconnected digital landscape.

This event is free of charge for students, faculty and staff, and members of the public. Attorneys seeking CT CLE credit will be charged a registration fee.

When: March 24, 2026, 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Where: Stuart F. Smith Reading Room, William F. Starr Hall (55 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105)
